SWK 602 - Social Work Assessment and Brief Interventions

This course focuses on developing knowledge and skills in social work engagement and assessment to effectively intervene with individuals in direct social work practice. The course focuses on development of assessment based intervention plans particularly within an interprofessional context. Students gain an understanding of short-term, brief intervention models for a wide range of direct practice settings. Prerequisites: Completion of required generalist SW courses at 500 level.
