PTR 521 - Healthcare System

This course introduces students to health behaviors, health belief models, healthcare policy making, regulatory issues, and reimbursement in healthcare, preparing them to function in the US healthcare system. The uniqueness of the US healthcare system and international differences among health care systems, medical information issues, roles of medical and health professionals and issues of health care access are stressed. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all prior required PT courses.
