AED 554 - Art Education I

This course combines the methodology, theory and practice of teaching art. Course work includes planning and curriculum development, special needs concerns, motivation, classroom management strategies and the assessment of the art experience.  Students are required to maintain a journal that documents, synthesizes, and evaluates their growth as a professional art teacher. Required for the Initial Certification program. 35 hours fieldwork required.
